Prismatica Photo Art

March 2020

During the Fall of 2019, “PRISMATICA”, an interactive art installation of pivoting coloured glass prisms, designed by Canadian architecture firm, RAWdesign, was located along Sherbrooke Street, near the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Ms. Turner was captivated and inspired by seeing the beauty in the bending of light; a choreography of dancing colours and a reconstructed composition of the Quartier du Musee.

Peggy Ann Turner’s latest series, “Prismatica Photo Art”,is a byproduct of looking through these kaleidoscope prisms and recording  that unique moment of interplay of light, colour and composition.

As a mixed media collage painter, the unexpected chromatic results  and shifting of shapes felt familiar to her own artwork.  By using creativity and a keen eye for detail, Ms. Turner captures the spirit of this artistic Montreal neighbourhood.

In this exhibition of 15 photo art images printed on white aluminum panels,   Peggy Ann’s passion for art and architecture shines through.
